Wake Up and Read Book Drive

The Raleigh Council of AT&T Pioneers held a book drive to assist WAKE Up and Read a non-profit that is made up of more than two dozen community groups working together toward the common goal of improving childhood literacy. We collected 350 books. Pioneers were also on hand to help sort and box up books to go to schools, low income daycares and individual children.

Pioneer Color Run,
The Color Run was a huge success! Rain mixed with colored corn starch always equals fun! We raised over $1000 for the UNCW Seahawks Club while having a great time. Thank you to those that participated. We have a number of events scheduled between now and the end of the year and we look forward to more good times!

Charlotte Pioneers Operation Hydration

During the month of May, we presented Megan Grady, Director of USO North Carolina-Charlotte Center a donation in support of Operation Hydration 2014. The donation was able to provide over 8,000 bottles of water for the troops and their families. Ms. Grady sent a letter expressing appreciation and gratitude for the annual support received from the Chapter 35 of AT&T Pioneers. She also stated how the Charlotte Pioneers continuing support of “Operation Hydration” provides a much needed boost to the services they provide.
