Operation LIMA FOXTROT – Fun In The Sun For Everyone

Alabama Chapter 3rd Quarter 2016
Lima Foxtrot provides fitness, sports and recreation programs for our nation’s injured military

AT&T Pioneers from across Alabama gathered in Wilsonville, AL at the Adaptive Aquatics facilities to fellowship with and cook lunch for Wounded Soldiers and their children, in partnership with the Lakeshore Foundation. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for Injured Military Veterans in the beautiful setting on Lay Lake. Pioneers served over 100 plates of burgers, hot dogs, homemade slaw, chips and drinks.

Adaptive Aquatics is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the introduction, teaching and advancement of adapted watersports for disAbled Children, disAbled Adults and Wounded Warrior Veterans.

Mobile Council in the Spotlight

The Mobile Council pioneers have volunteered with Camp Blue Bird for over 25 years. Pioneers volunteer as counselors for the week-long camp. The volunteers input over 1100 hours of volunteer time for this camp.

To be part of an organization that has been helping in local communities for nearly 100 years.

You may not know it but just in the past year the AT&T Pioneers led the collection of more than 50,000 pounds of food in a company wide food drive benefiting Share Our Strength.

We are also part of a Cell Phone Recycling Campaign where we collected over 25,000 cell phones that helped support Cell Phones for Soldiers.

AT&T Aspire is another important initiative for us. Bringing 100,000 high school students to AT&T work-places through the Job Shadow initiative.
